The Gatespace implementaion of the OSGI Framework was provided to Knopflerfish
(www.knopflerfish.org) in 2003 to be made generally available under an open source license. Knopflerfish
maintain and enhance the framework to keep it both robust and current.
Gatespace integrates the OSGi Framework into the e-Services Client and provides a Services Bundle to give
other application bundles access to gateway features and services. In addition to providing access features
and functions, the Services Bundle provides mediation services to resolve potential conflicts between
applications competing for resources.
